It took us 15 minutes to rig Hihimanu and Ariki at the Dunsborough Bay Yacht Club (many hands and all that) before launching under a full moon. Our first rest came as the sun set in the west and a stairway to heaven lit up the ocean to the east. After a strong headwind for the first 60 minutes, we settled into a rhythm and paddled the 20 kms home in 2 hours and 15 minutes follwed by a cold beer, a classic red and fresh pizza in the shed. S'all good.
